Recent data from Realtor.com shows that the U.S. median listing price in August was $435,000 which is down $15,000 from the record high of $450,000 in June.
In Michigan, the average price a home is sold at is $248,000 which is significantly less than the national average.
In Marquette, median listing home price was nearly $700,000 which makes it one of the most expensive places to buy a home in the state.
