Week 7 Oakland County High School Football Roundup


Michigan high school football remains in action as teams are well into the latter half of the season with only two games remaining. Oakland County currently has seven teams in the MaxPreps Michigan top 25 and all were in action this past weekend. 7th ranked Notre Dame Prep and 21st ranked Northville lit up the scoreboards in their victories, putting up 56 and 55 points, respectively, on their opponents.

The Northern Lights put on a rare show across Michigan

Michiganders living in the Upper Peninsula are periodically treated to displays of the famed Northern Lights. But a rare, severe (G4) geomagnetic storm Friday night meant that even those of us living below the Mackinac Bridge could see the aurora borealis.
